First Day, First Show..
Deepavali.. What a great festival it is for all of us who are soaked with traditions? Its again a personal experience I had during my early days of my academics.. It was our high school time and we were in Srirangam, the temple city.. Every deepavali was so much fun.. We enjoyed firing crackers, having a gala time with our cousins, got blessings from uncles and aunts and that time many of our relatives were living in and around tiruchirapalli.. One of my uncles Mr Vaidhyanathan, who is known for his comic attitude and his taste for food, used to take all of us out for some good restaurants and famous spots where we used to spend some invaluable time..
He used to get lot of tickets from the local cinema halls and the time when Rajni and Kamal were producing blockbusters for every deepavali.. I remember clearly, when thalapathi and guna hit the screens, we were living there and as usual he got sizeable number of tickets.. The tickets were distributed between us and there were at least 10 of us who were a part of this first day screening.. And senior members of the gang were responsible for taking us to the hall and to bring us back safely.. We enjoyed the first screening of the movies amidst lot of noise, chaos, and petty fights between the fans..
I remember we had watched movies for 3 or 4 deepavali's and also had enjoyed watching many other movies with cousins.. That time all of us had ample time to spend together.. Nowadays we are damn busy running behind money, we dont have time to really arrange for a get together like that.. Everyone have their own schedule and travel plans and the distance increased as time passed by.. But still Im recollecting most of the stuff and dumping them here, so that it gives me & my readers a feel of that time we all enjoyed..
