Futbol Freak Outs..

Though most of my friends and acquaintances enquire about the world cup fieber in germany, I had a rather different taste of it.. I had been a generally lazy nerd off late, not really interested in collaboration activities.. Though on site experience plays a vital role in the making of this kinda qualities in a person..

Though I have been generally away from home for a long period of time, I had really missed some opportunities which I regret.. I could have easily gone to a location where local futbol champs watch the world cup together and with a lot of enthu they cheer for their nations, small time betting, small fights, then cheering at the end of the game, having some speciality beverages, generally enjoying the day.. I have not been a part of such parties and started to regret those things.. Though we had such an occasion during the quarter finals, where Germany and Argentina played and was a cracker of a match.. We had all gone to a near by pub and cheerladding for germany.. Though germany won the contest it was a real tough fight unlike the other big league matches, either they were one sided or luck factor involved.. And the greatest thing about that match was both the teams played clean futbol..

Apart from that I didn't really enjoy any match of this FIFA 2006.. Italians were lucky most of the times and some how they managed to lift the cup courtesy Zinedine Zidane.. I didn't like the guy very much in the first match which I watched him against brazil, but became a fan of his on the semis.. It was a great game and in the finals too, he played a tremendous role.. But quite unfortunate.. Because things dont happen as we plan right..

All the time, I was hunting reasons for safety and comfort for missing those things and at this point feelings of regret started creeping, coz I have to wait for this for 4 long yrs and that too I don’t know I would be in any sort of proximity to those venues…
